Final Day in the States

Today I have some good news for a change. Yesterday, I was told I needed surgery for my hand and got an MRI last night. Turns out that all the ligaments are fine and I will be in a cast for six weeks. Now I can go to Morocco and worry about the possibility of surgery upon my return. The packing list is getting checked off as I ready for a 0630 departure tomorrow morning. Hopefully the trip over goes well and by Sunday I will be in a country and world far from my own.

Keeping things interesting

Turns out I broke my wrist yesterday. This means my left wrist will be in a cast for the duration of the trip, the six week trip and six week healing process worked out well I know. I find out on Thursday if my thumb will be imobilized or not, pray that it will not, having both sets of opposable thumbs wouls be a great advantage. One week to go till departure, and 5 till my permanent cast. See you, on Thursday. Should make for an interesting journey, I can still hear, speak, think, and write, so my primary goals are still able to be reached on this trip, it just won't always be as easy.

Welcome

I am 26 days away from departing to Morocco now and wanted to welcome whoever may visit the page to my journal of the trip. Here is where I will post all my stories, experiences, and pictures and stay connected with everyone while I'm gone. Hopefully everyone enjoys it and will end up taking something from my documentation.
